I was just looking back in the site archives, and ran across my post on The Book Meme from 3 1/2 (!!) years ago. (An odd experience, by the way, because it feels like a lot less than three years since I was reading the book in that post. Memory is a funny thing.)
Anyway, it so happens I have a stack of books at my feet at the moment, so for grins, here’s an update. To recap, the rules of the game are:
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.
5. Don’t search around and look for the coolest book you can find. Do what’s actually next to you.
